Concise and helpful - readable in one sitting. Recommended for those who are new to the field. Nothing revolutionary presented, but useful in its synthesis of expertise.
Very basic, if that is what you are looking for. I would not recommend this book for an experienced architect
Easy to read entry level book. Does what it promises. Nevertheless, I would keep on reading some books referenced here as well, such as the "Business Architecture The Art and Practice of Business Transformation".
I came up to this book quite serendipitously, and I'm happy I did.
This is one of the easiest-to-read books on Enterprise Architecture out there, and I ended up going thru it the first time in a single read. It has a conversational style of writing, as if the office expert was sitting in the next chair and sharing his experience. This should be the *first* book you read on EBA, before you pick up any of the other, heavier, tomes.
(btw, I don't have a , but the -for-PC app works very well to read this).
This is a great resource for those of you interested in gaining a brief overview of EA and EBA. No sales pitches and quite informative. The labels on the conceptual business/technology model diagram differ slightly from the terms he uses to describe them, but this is a very minor detail. Definitely worth the read.
This book does a great job providing EAB insight as well as advice and guidance on how/when/where/who should be providing input into the governance process. The key is knowing what the business stakeholders need and where the enterprise strategy is heading and EAB is the vehicle to pull it all together.
